Guardian AI Troubleshooting

Learn how Guardian AI handles offline devices, background location tracking issues, and account usage limits on the Mirronet network.

Guardian AI Troubleshooting

Guardian AI relies on real-time data from your family network. If the AI provides unexpected answers or cannot locate a member, it is typically due to device connectivity or operating system permission settings.

Offline Devices and Stale Data

If a family member's phone loses its internet connection, runs out of battery, or forces the Mirronet app into a deep sleep, their live location cannot be updated on our servers.

The Last Seen Rule

When a device goes offline, Guardian AI will never guess their current location. Instead, it will report the exact time the user was last seen and provide the last known street address recorded in our database.

Common Causes for Offline Status

  • Battery Dead: The device has powered off. Guardian AI can tell you the last recorded battery level before the device died to help you verify this.
  • Background Tracking Paused: The user's operating system (iOS or Android) has aggressively paused Mirronet's background location syncing to save battery. The user must open the app to force a sync.
  • No Signal: The user is currently traveling through an area with no cellular or Wi-Fi coverage.

Usage Limits and Quotas

Guardian AI is a powerful tool that requires significant processing power to translate locations and check safe zones. To ensure the network remains fast and stable for everyone—especially during emergencies—we enforce strict usage limits based on your account tier.

Free accounts are strictly limited to monitoring a maximum of 2 approved guardians. You also have a set limit of daily questions you can ask the AI. If you hit this limit, the AI will prompt you to upgrade.
