Triggering an Emergency SOS
The Emergency SOS feature is the most critical safety tool on the Mirronet platform. When activated, it instantly alerts your approved Guardians that you are in danger and provides them with your exact, real-time GPS coordinates.
How to Activate SOS
You can trigger an emergency alert directly from your Dashboard or the Live Family Map.
- Open the Mirronet app.
- Tap the red SOS & Emergency button located in the Family Safety Hub.
- Confirm the alert when prompted.
Once activated, your device will immediately push a high-priority critical alert to the devices of all your approved Guardians, overriding silent and Do Not Disturb modes on supported operating systems.
The Privacy Bypass Rule
Mirronet is built to prioritize your physical safety over standard visibility preferences during an emergency.
Automatic Visibility
If you have the "Share Location on Map" toggle disabled to hide your daily movements, triggering an SOS will automatically bypass this setting. Your live coordinates will be forcefully transmitted to your Guardians until you manually disable the active SOS alert.
How to Cancel an SOS
If you accidentally trigger an alert or are no longer in danger, you must manually cancel the SOS state to restore your normal privacy settings and stop the live tracking broadcast.
- Open the Mirronet app.
- Tap the active SOS Banner at the top of your screen.
- Select Cancel Emergency and confirm.
- Your Guardians will receive a follow-up notification that the emergency has been resolved.
